A founding partner of WTB Solicitors LLP and Manchester Law Society Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year, Ben is highly respected in his specialist field of law, particularly in anti-social behaviour cases. He is a talented advocate of tenants’ rights. Ben deals with the most complex housing cases involving mental health or disability discrimination and the duties owed by Local Authorities to those who are vulnerable.
Since qualifying as a solicitor Ben has specialised in defending all forms of possession proceedings and gaining compensation for tenants where landlords fail in their duty of repair. He regularly provides training for other lawyers and voluntary organisations. He has been invited to speak at the Civil Justice Council sub committee on housing law. His notable cases include Manchester City Council v. Romano and Samari, North British Housing Association v. Sharples and Salford City Council v. Mullen.
